Starting on March 11th, 2011, the day after the disaster, we spent 800 days looking closely at victims of the event in our coverage of the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear accident.

Naomi Toyoda
reporter・photographer・co-director Born in Shizuoka Prefecture in 1956. He is a photo journalist. He visited conflict areas like Palestine and Iraq and directed a film called "War and Peace" for the people living in those conflict areas. Has been covering the situation around the Fukushima power plant since the earthquake, with experience on reporting on the depleted uranium shell and issue in Chernobyl. Winner of the 2003 Peace and Cooperative Journalist Fund award. Member of the Japan Visual Journalists Association (JVJA). Author of his latest book: "The First Year of Fukushima" (Mainichi Newspapers), Photo Reportage of Fukushima nuclear disaster, a town hit by the Great Eastern Japan Earthquake (Iwanami Shoten, Publisher). reporter・photographer・co-director Born in Fukuoka Prefecture in 1974. Photo Journalist. Covered the disputed and disaster areas in Asia, including Tibet. Continued documenting environmental issues around the world under the theme of "Human Beings and Water." Currently covering the shipyard of Otsuchi City, Iwate Prefecture and other shipyards in Fukushima. Carries out aerial photography in front of the Prime Minister's office by "Association of Right Way of Reporting." Won a prize of Mainichi Newspaper, section of Ueno Hikoma, DAYS JAPAN national journalist award honorable mentions. A member of the Japan Visual Journalists Association (JVJA). Coauthor of "3.11 Meltdown"(Gaifusha Publishing), "Live"(Association of Japanese photographer) "TSUNAMI 3.11"(Daisanshokan, Publisher) et al. Editor and publisher of the online magazine: "Fotgazet."
