On March 28th, 2012, the forced dismantlement that happened in the Shilin District of Taipei greatly shocked the Taiwanese society. This film focuses on the voices of people who are about to lose their living foundations due to city reform plans. This shows how the ‘Trail of Tears’ of the early 19th century Native Americans are reenacted in the modern capitalistic society.
감독소개
Kuo Ming-chu
Born in Taipei, Kuo started her grass roots work in labor movement as an union organizer since 1990, right after she graduated from university. Having been involved in social movement for 25years, Kuo began to take labor culture film making and documenting as her praxis in social movement and as the avenue to initiate public dialogue with different communities since 2005.
