Out of 304 films selected for the 17th Busan International Film Festival (BIFF), only 18 are screened in the disabled-only theatre. The theatre opens one day after the others in the festival do and yet closes two days earlier.
Those visually handicapped cannot find the doors of Busan Cinema Center, exclusive venue for the screenings and events of BIFF. Its official website doesn’t provide them with basic information: tickets are not accessible; and the location of Busan Cinema Center cannot be found.
This film addresses discriminatory policies against the disabled movie-goers and shows what’s needed for them to fully enjoy the festival.
