Synopsis: In April 2012, Daehan mun, an altar was installed in mourning for those who have died since Ssanyongcha laid off a massive amount of workers. Many people flocked to this altar coping with loss, over the year. Daehan mun is becoming a new square for the people. However after the year has passed, Park government demolished this alter and the country took a new turn. Where the tents were set up, there set in gardens and dirt patches instead, with officers guarding 24 seven. 

In the process, people who crowd into Daehan mun were stripped of their rights to protest. Individuals who sat down on the sidewalks were removed, press conferences and one-man protests were banned. Chwe Sung-Young, head of security office, was the law regarding the square. People called him crazy and unfair, but was he really this figure? Was his presence only in Daehan-mun?

Even so, in Korea the reality is that the government authorities have little tolerance concerning the rights of people. 

Where fired employees of Ssangyong Cars raised a strike for a year, mud and dirt was filled and a garden planted into place instead. To be able to protest in front of Daehan-mun is never more. Human rights deserted simultaneously. 

This work starts with a police officer’s story. Daehan-mun was once an open place to everyone, and now it is merely a post for officers enforcing security of the Blue House. The film ponders the reason of this change, and shows how the liberty of speech and protest is dealt: shunned and oppressed on. Throughout this story the film conveys the message of why the right to protest remains vital in society.
